Salt Lake City Council
District 3
It’s time for a change
My opponent has been in office for 8 years. It’s time for a fresh face, a new voice, and the ability to have difficult conversations in City Hall to bring better results for the neighborhoods and residents of District 3.
8 years is long. 12 years is way too long.
Blake’s priorities
After knocking 3,500 doors from Marmalade to Federal Heights, it’s clear that residents are frustrated with the way things are currently being done. Too often, citywide initiatives and projects seem to take priority over basic things like stop signs to make our streets safer and permanent restrooms in our parks.
We need a city council that will act as a check and balance to the Mayor. In order to arrive at the best outcomes, it will require some creative friction in the process. Today nearly everything is rubber stamped by council and that must change.
Here are my biggest priorities:
Housing
Homelessness
Parks, Roads, Trails
